In August of 2013 the Lord called Pastor Gerald, his wife Lee Anne, and their five children to move back home to western Nassau County and start a fellowship that would change the way people think about church. He had grown up in Boulougne, north of Hilliard, and had a burden to see the many unchurched people he had grown up with, and their children and grandchildren, come to know the love and grace of Christ and that church could be a place where everyone was accepted and encouraged to grow in the Lord at their own pace and in God's time.
Rivers Edge started in January 2014 in Pastor Gerald and Lee Anne's living room with twelve adults and thirteen children. Today you can see the fruits of God's blessing as we meet each Sunday for worship and teaching and throughout the week for student ministry, outreach and Life Group Bible study. In January of 2018 Rivers Edge Church and The Journey Church merged together and became the Callahan Campus of The Journey Church.
